My New Favorite App

I recently downloaded an App on my phone called EverNote because I needed a better note taking app for my Android phone. I’ve been using the memo app built in my Samsung Captivate and although it gets the job done, I’ve piled up too many notes and scrolling through them is inconvenient when it becomes a hassle searching for a certain note that takes up to minutes. EverNote has been the app I’ve always needed. Whenever I need to remember something for my work and do not have the time to write it down on paper, I just take my phone out and quickly jot down the information. What is great about EverNote is that you can organize your notes. So far I have only created two note groups or “notebooks” as they are called in EverNote and those are my work notebook for all the things I need to remember throughout the day in my business and my personal notebook which I usually use as my to do list. It even has a search function to allow you to quickly search through your notes. There have been many times when information pops up in my mind and I know I’ve wrote it befor in my phone so I would go to my memo app only to spend long amounts of time scrolling to find the info I need but now all I have to do is just type the information I’m looking for in the search function and BAM! I quickly find the notes I need. I suggest everyone out there to try EverNote if you need a note taking app.

Game 3 Eastern Conference Finals: Quick Predictions

The Celtics are two losses away from elimination and game 3 is tonight in Boston where they have a chance to bounce back from two straight losses. I still wouldn’t count the Celtics out of this series as they have enough talent and experience to battle the Miami Heat to seven games. They lost the first game because the Heat outplayed them, and they lost the second with just a few points behind. The Celtics could definitely have taken game 2 from the Heat to even the series if all the Celtic players were on their game besides Rondo who had a historical playoff performance scoring 40 plus points, recording 10 assists, and 8 rebounds. The only break Rajon Rondo got was during timeouts and the end of the quarter, but his monster performance was not enough to beat the Heat.

The Celtics have home court advantage tonight. I believe that the Celtics will bounce back and KG, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce will step their game up to help Rondo. They have to or they will face elimination in game 4, because LeBron James has continued to consistently put up dominating performances, and even though Wade has not been as consistent in his game, he will make plays when it matters the most. My predictions for tonight’s game is LeBron will put up 30+ points and Wade will put up 20+ points, but the key for the Heat is for them to get strong performances from Udonis Haslem and for Miller and Battier to hit at least 60 percent of their shot attempts. The key for the Celtics is for KG to dominate the post more but the most important thing for the Celtics to me is to have Ray Allen perform at his level of play. If Ray Allen was 100 percent in this series, the Heat would have a much more difficult time guarding KG because of the 3 point threat from Ray Allen, but so far, as long as the Heat can guard and defend KG and keep his performance at a minimum and also guard Rondo, the Heat will have a great shot at gaining a 3 game lead over the Celtics. It will be amazing if Rondo can give a similar performance for tonight’s game, but it will have to be a team effort for the Celts if they want to win tonight.

Heat Take Game 1 from the Celtics

The Heat and Celtics played Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Memorial Day. It was a competitive game with the Miami Heat coming out on top of the Celtics with the final score of 93-79. LeBron James had an amazing game performance scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds while Wade added 22 points to lead the Heat to a victory. The game began quickly for the Miami Heat who began scoring right away against the veteran Celtic starters, but even though it seemed as though the Heat would pull away from one score to the next, the Celtics trailers right behind the Heat to keep the score and the fans up on their seat throughout the whole game. It was not until late in the fourth quarter that the Heat were able to increase the lead and secure victory over the Celtics.

On how important social media has become, Karp shared that the bulk of traffic that Tumblr sees comes from Twitter and Facebook. Not Google. This isn’t surprising, but speaks volumes about the real-time value of Tumblr. While most blogs rely on Google for the bulk of its traffic, Tumblr has carved itself a niche that is a hybrid between real-time and static content. Basically, the company has built the best of both worlds.

Heat Advance to Eastern Conference Finals

The Heat eliminated the Pacers Thursday night as they advance their way to the Eastern Conference Finals with the final score of 105 to 93. Again the Heat were lead by great performances from Dwayne Wade and LeBron James and with the help of 22 turnovers made by the Indiana Pacers allowed the Heat to win game 6. Now it is still undecided about who will face the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals as the Celtics and the Sixers are still even in their series 3 to 3. It has been a very even match for the remaining teams in the East, but so far the top teams in the Western Conference have dominated through the playoffs so it will be a real tough challenge for whoever comes out on top in the Eastern Conference Finals, but I’m hoping it will be the Heat.

Miami Heat One Game Away

The Miami Heat are one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals. Game 5 was dominated by the Heat with the final score ending at 115 to 83. The Pacers trailed throughout the entire game but were not able to catch up with the Heat due to the all star performances of LeBron James and Dwayne Wade on the court Tuesday night. The Heat looked unstoppable, but game 6 goes back to Indiana. I’m confident the Heat will be able to continue their momentum into game 6. I think it will be an even more heated match going into game 6. There were a lot of flagrant fouls that were made on both sides of the court, and I don’t think we will be seeing the last of them but, let’s hope both teams can stay level-headed and play a good game.

Predictions for the Eastern Conference Finals

The 2012 NBA Playoffs has been a very interesting sight to watch especially in the Eastern Conference. Before the Playoffs even started, I was eagerly anticipating the rematch between the Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat. I did not expect that the Chicago Bulls, the number one team in the NBA, to be eliminated from the Playoffs in the first round. The Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose tore his acl in a season ending injury that ultimately lead to the elimination of the Chicago Bulls. With the Chicago Bulls out of the way, a lot of Heat fans thought that the Heat would have an easy road to the Eastern Conference Finals and the Finals itself, but apparently the Pacers have not received the memo and are not making it easy on the Heat. The Heat are even more vulnerable to elimination due to Bosh being out with an abdominal strain.

What was suppose to be a match between the Chicago Bulls and the Boston Celtics became a match between the Celtics and the Philadelphia Sixers. Just like the Heat vs Pacers series where everyone expects the Heat to stroll through the Pacers, the Sixers are also making it difficult for the Celtics to advance to the next round. The Celtics and the Sixers are tied in the series and it is not clear who will come out on top. I, however, predict that the Celtics will pull through, but the Sixers have a very high chance of knocking out the Celtics. Even though the underdogs of these series are competing with the top teams, I feel that the Celtics will pull through because of their experience and, the Heat will come out on top because of superstar talent.

The Heat Bounce Back

The series is now tied between the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers. The Indiana Pacers had the opportunity to take another game away from the Heat Sunday night and put them under even more pressure going back to Miami for game 5. Now with momentum and home court advantage on the Heat’s side, the Heat are back in position to control the series. The Pacers know they can compete with this superstar packed team without the presence of Bosh which is why the Heat need him back as soon as possible. The Heat have relied on James and Wade without the presence of Bosh to carry the Heat with their incredible performances, but what we have seen so far is that if one of the duos has a bad night, they don’t stand a chance against the Pacers. In game 3, Wade was shut down by the Pacer’s defense and although LeBron had an amazing game performance in game 3, the Heat bench and supporting cast did not do enough to compete against the deep roster the Pacers have. However, I am confident that the Heat will come on top of this series and LeBron James with the help of his teammates will be able to bring the Heat to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Heat Under Pressure from Indiana

All the people that thought the Heat would have an easy road to the Finals due to the Bulls elimination from the Playoffs in the first round are probably a little desperate right now including myself. The Heat are just two losses away from also being eliminated from the NBA Playoffs. Indiana has made this game very interesting and has caused very large doubts and frustrations in the Miami Heat organization. Wade who did not have a great performance last night was caught by the cameras arguing with the head coach, Erik Spoelstra, displaying frustration that the team is facing in this series. Without Bosh, Wade and James need to light it up in Game 4, or we will be seeing some drastic changes in the Heat organization next year.

: Will Apple’s Move Bring A Real & Perhaps Better Google Maps To iOS?

marketingland:

After I wrote the story saying that Apple was going to replace Google Maps with its own product when it rolls out as part of iOS 6, I had a conversation with a friend. He reminded me that Apple is actually in control of the majority of elements of the Maps app on the…
